As I come before Thy throne - I lift my eyes by choice
As I silently listen for my Master's loving voice.
And when He speaks to me I am made to see...
Exactly what He desires of a sinner such as me.
Lord, I know my Prayer Life is not as rich as it could be
And tasks sometimes block my constant view of Thee.
Oh Lord, I do apologize for interruptions in my way
When I reach for that closeness as I humble kneel to pray.
Oftentimes I'm so exhausted... I send a desperate plea
Asking to be refreshed and GRACE You send to me
Yes, each time I ask for help I'm filled to overflowing
Which provides sufficiently to keep me UP and GOING!
So, when Satan comes to bother me and tries to interfere
I quickly tell Old Satan, "Shut-up, and get out of here!
Satan, You're wasting time, can't you plainly see
I belong to Jesus and JESUS belongs to me!"
But Satan soon returns; another approach to try...
I guess he'll continue tormenting until the day I die.
Although he tries to bother, discourage and interfere
I'll always be faithful to my Savior, sweet and dear!
All the tasks set before me are things that can not wait
As I continue care-giving of my loving, precious mate.
Lord, I know You understand, for You see my heart is true
And nothing is more important than My Quiet Time with YOU.
