We must forgive others. It's the only way
to find real happiness from day to day.
For a heavy heart that has not forgiven
destroys the joy of every day living.
We needn't spend our life with broken hearts or regrets.
Let's not waste our time on hurts or frets!
The things we recall really can't be erased,
but we can do something to remove the bitter taste.
Since no one is perfect and no one can undo,
let's all forgive others and hope they forgive too.
We can start with today and each day that we live
by laying down the past and just plain forgive.
Finding forgiveness down deep within our hearts
removes all anger, then bitterness departs.
We'll feel no resentments of things in the past
because forgiving completely finishes the task.
When we can't seem to forgive try as we may...
we must ask the Holy Spirit to show us the way.
God doesn't ask for more than we can do.
And when we forgive others God forgives us too!
Our enemy doesn't suffer because we're about to explode.
We are the ones carrying anger's heavy load.
The scripture tells us our bones will waste away.
So it's best to forgive without any delay.
